Meet the Staff

Suzanne Iovanna, President

In October, 2014 her husband Michael was killed in a car crash just blocks away from the home they shared with their children Michael and Alexandra. On that day, Suzanne became a single parent and the new owner of Pride Motor Group in Lynn, Massachusetts which includes Pride Hyundai, Pride Kia and Pride Chevrolet.

A 1986 graduate of the University of New England’s Westbrook College with a degree in Health Sciences, Suzanne loved her work as a periodontal surgical assistant. After the birth of her children, she settled into the joy of raising them, supporting her daughter’s elite status as a pairs figure skater and her son’s success as a high school and collegiate hockey player.

The idea of taking over a thriving family business with no experience in the automotive industry was terrifying, but Suzanne met each obstacle with determination, graduating from NADA, the National Automobile Dealers Association certification program in 2017. She also traveled to Korea for training by Hyundai and Kia, earning the title of Dealer Principal.

In an industry dominated by men, Suzanne is blazing a new trail. As one of a handful of women who own car dealerships in America, she is determined to create opportunities for women to thrive under her fair and honest leadership. Suzanne’s inspiring story has been profiled on the award-winning podcast series The Story Behind Her Success. The mission of Pride Motor Group is to treat each customer like family and Suzanne is determined to earn a person’s trust.

Pride History

Ralph Iovanna

Ralph Iovanna's journey in the automotive industry began when he dropped out of school in the 9th grade to become an automotive technician. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks to become a general manager. Eventually, Ralph seized the opportunity to purchase what is now known as Pride Motor Group. He chose the name "Pride" because he has "always taken pride in everything he did!"

Michael Iovanna

Michael Iovanna, Ralph's son, started working at the dealership as a teenager. He graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1986. After serving as General Manager, he became the youngest nominee successor. In 2007, following Ralph's passing, Michael became President of Pride Motor Group. In October 2014, Michael passed away, and his wife, Suzanne Iovanna, took over the business to continue the family legacy.
