Chevrolet Teen Driver Technology Features

Chevrolet is currently the only automaker that offers a system like Teen Driver. This technology is either standard or available across the entire Chevy lineup, providing the following standard features that will help your teen drive safely and confidently:

  • Speed Warning: Set an audible and visual warning to alert your teen when the vehicle exceeds a pre-set speed limit.
  • Speed Limiter: Will restrict the Chevy vehicle to a maximum speed of 85 mph.
  • Audio Limit: Setting a limit on the audio volume will allow your teen to enjoy their favorite tunes, while also still being able to concentrate on the road.
  • Seat Belt Audio Mute: This feature will mute any audio in the vehicle until the driver and passengers have buckled their seatbelts.

While these are all standard features in the Teen Driver system, there are additional features that you can opt for:

  • Industry-First Buckle to Drive: Through visual and audible alerts, this feature reminds new teen drivers to buckle their seatbelt before heading out onto Saugus roads. This industry-first feature prevents the car from shifting out of Park for 20 seconds until the driver buckles up.
  • Industry-First In-Vehicle Report Card: Allows you to view an in-vehicle report card that details your teen’s driving record when you weren’t in the vehicle.
